A fire erupted early this morning at the Sizran Oil Refinery located in the Samara region of Russia, leading to significant damage and loss of life. Eyewitness accounts suggest that local residents first heard the sounds of air defense systems, followed by a series of explosions.
Images and videos circulating on social media depict a large column of black smoke rising from the refinery area. Local authorities have reported two fatalities as a result of the incident, with additional injuries also being reported.
