On the night of April 26, Sevastopol was struck by a series of drone attacks, resulting in explosions and subsequent fires across multiple areas of the city. The appointed governor of the region reported that 45 drones were intercepted during the assault.
Low-Altitude Attack
The drones approached their targets at low altitudes, and at the time of the attack, there were no air raid alerts in effect in Ukraine.
Following the explosions, fires were reported in several districts of Sevastopol, although details regarding the specific targets and the extent of the damage are still being clarified.
Response from Occupation Authorities
The Russian-appointed governor stated that one individual was killed and three others injured as a result of the attacks. However, the fires observed after the strikes indicate that some drones successfully reached their intended targets.
In related developments, Ukrainian defense forces have recently targeted enemy radar stations associated with the S-400 missile system, as well as logistical sites and concentrations of Russian troops. Additionally, enemy radar stations in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Belgorod region have also been hit, and a Tor-M1 missile system was destroyed in Luhansk.
Earlier, operators of drone systems, in collaboration with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), conducted a strike on the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant, halting production at the facility.
