Iranian President Urges Citizens to Conserve Electricity Amid Threats from US and Israel

The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has called on citizens to significantly reduce their electricity consumption due to potential strikes from the United States and Israel aimed at the country’s infrastructure. He warned that such attacks could lead to resource shortages and public discontent with the regime.

Pezeshkian stated, “Our enemies are targeting our infrastructure and attempting to surround us to incite public dissatisfaction and turn current contentment into unrest. People must not allow conditions for discontent to arise.” He emphasized the need for Iranians to conserve energy to avoid severe negative consequences, as ongoing tensions could result in further attacks on vital infrastructure.

He added, “We do not need people to make sacrifices right now, but we must manage our consumption. At home, instead of turning on ten light bulbs, why not use two? What’s the problem?”

In recent developments, the United States announced plans to strike Iranian infrastructure if a declared ceasefire is violated. Similar threats have been issued by Israel.

However, the Iranian regime has rejected the idea of a peace agreement, citing maximalist demands from Washington, particularly concerning Iran’s nuclear program, which the US administration seeks to halt.

Additionally, Israeli intelligence recently outlined a strategy aimed at destabilizing the Iranian regime, hoping to incite mass protests within the country. The Mossad has reportedly planned several operations to achieve these objectives without resorting to military action.

Iran's President Pezeshkian has urged citizens to conserve electricity amid threats of US and Israeli strikes on infrastructure. The regime's refusal to consider peace talks complicates the situation further.
