Ukrainian Security Service Targets Russian Naval Assets in Crimea

Ukrainian special operations forces have conducted a significant operation in Crimea, targeting Russian military assets using drones. This initiative resulted in the damage of three naval vessels and critical logistics infrastructure utilized by Russian forces.

During the operation, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) successfully struck three Russian military ships:

  • the large landing ship “Yamal”;
  • the large landing ship “Azov”;
  • a military vessel of unspecified type.

Additionally, there are reports suggesting potential damage to a counter-diversion boat of Project 21980, known as “Grachonok.”

The drones deployed by the SBU also targeted communication systems, damaging the antenna block of the “Delfin” communication system, the radar system MR-10M1 “Mys-M1,” and fuel tanks at the “Yugtorsan” oil depot.

The SBU stated, “We systematically and consistently destroy the enemy across the entire front line, including the temporarily occupied Crimea. The service members are reducing the combat capability of the fleet, deliberately undermining logistics, and depriving the adversary of the ability to fully utilize the peninsula as a military base.”

The SBU's recent operation in Crimea highlights its ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian military operations. By targeting naval vessels and logistics, Ukraine aims to diminish the operational capabilities of Russian forces in the region.
