Renovated Emergency Hospital Opens in Kamianske with Advanced Facilities

The City Emergency Medical Hospital in Kamianske has reopened following extensive renovations, featuring new operating rooms and a laboratory. Mayor Andriy Bilousov announced the completion of the project on social media, highlighting the upgrades aimed at improving healthcare services in the region.

The newly renovated facility includes a surgical block with six operating rooms and a clinical diagnostic laboratory equipped with a bacteriological department. The hospital’s infrastructure has been enhanced with modern equipment, automatic doors, anesthesiology stations, and advanced X-ray and ultrasound control systems.

Bilousov noted that the laboratory has received modern equipment through support from the World Health Organization (WHO). This upgrade is expected to significantly improve the quality and speed of diagnostics, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of medical care for residents of Kamianske and its surrounding areas. Last year alone, the laboratory conducted over 54,000 microbiological tests.

The hospital serves the entire Kamianske district, with the inpatient department accommodating approximately 25,000 patients annually. The mayor emphasized that the modernization of the hospital was made possible through collaboration with the European Investment Bank, which provided 80% of the funding in the form of grants, while the city budget covered the remaining 20%.

In addition to the emergency hospital, last year saw the comprehensive renovation and insulation of Hospital No. 9, improvements to the surrounding area, and updates to Family Medicine Clinic No. 7. Currently, the renovation of the City Emergency Medical Hospital in the Southern district of Kamianske is nearing completion. The city is also preparing to launch new significant projects, including the capital repair of a children’s hospital with a clinic and a polyclinic in the Left Bank area.

The City Emergency Medical Hospital in Kamianske has reopened after renovations, featuring advanced medical facilities funded by the European Investment Bank and WHO support. This upgrade aims to enhance healthcare delivery in the region, serving approximately 25,000 patients annually.
