A new cycling route named “VeloPідкова” is set to debut on June 10, 2026, in the Lviv region of Ukraine. This 58-kilometer trail will link three renowned castles, offering a scenic journey through the picturesque landscape.
The route will connect:
- Zolochiv Castle
- Pidhirtsi Castle
- Olesko Castle
According to the Lviv Regional State Administration, the trail will take cyclists along quiet local roads, rolling hills, and breathtaking views, making it an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts.
On the day of the launch, participants will ride a segment of the “VeloPідкова” from Zolochiv to Pidhirtsi, covering a distance of 36 kilometers. The ride will commence at 11:00 AM from the base of the Zolochiv Castle museum-reserve.
Expanding Tourist Routes in Ukraine
This new initiative follows the Lviv region’s recent inclusion in the famous European pilgrimage route, Camino de Santiago. Additionally, new tourist paths have been established in the notable Bakota area of Khmelnytskyi region this year.
