Widespread Technical Outage Affects Multiple Services in Ukraine and Poland

On Tuesday, June 2, a significant technical disruption impacted various popular online services, notably affecting users of the Monobank mobile application.

Oleg Gorokhovsky, co-founder of Monobank, announced the issue via Telegram, stating, “We are experiencing a technical failure. We are fixing it. Sorry for the inconvenience.” He indicated that the problem originated from Amazon Web Services or one of its partners.

The outage was not limited to Monobank; other platforms also reported issues. According to Downdetector, users experienced disruptions with services including Amazon Web Services, Slack, Twitch, Facebook, Netflix, Cloudflare, Viber, Telegram, PrivatBank, Claude AI, and several others.

In addition to the reported problems in Ukraine, similar outages were noted in Poland. The cause of the widespread disruptions remains unclear at this time.

A major technical failure on June 2 affected numerous online services in Ukraine and Poland, with Monobank and Amazon Web Services among those impacted. The cause of the outage has not yet been determined.
