Ukrainian Forces Target Key Russian Military and Industrial Sites

The Ukrainian military reported successful strikes on several Russian military and industrial targets during the night of June 10-11. Among the key sites hit was the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region, which is one of the largest oil processing facilities in southern Russia.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the attack on the Afipsky refinery resulted in confirmed damage and a fire at the facility. The refinery processes approximately 6.25 million tons of oil annually and produces various petroleum products, including diesel fuel and gasoline, which are essential for both the Russian economy and military logistics.

In addition to the refinery, Ukrainian forces reported targeting a facility in occupied Crimea that was involved in the production and outfitting of unmanned surface vessels in Sevastopol. This site was reportedly used for assembling and preparing these vessels, which are employed by Russian forces in the Black Sea.

Furthermore, Ukrainian strikes also affected a drone storage facility near Hryhorivka in Crimea, as well as command posts in various locations across the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, including Davydivka, Novoznamyanka, Bakhmut, Selydivo, and Pokrovsk. A command post for enemy drones was also hit near Novoandriivka in Donetsk, and a workshop for the production and repair of drones was damaged in the Avdiivka area.

As of now, Russian authorities and military officials have not commented on these claims. However, local reports from the Krasnodar region noted that the Afipsky refinery was on fire following drone attacks, and there were reports of multiple explosions and fires in occupied Crimea, where drone and missile strikes occurred overnight, prompting air raid alerts.

Additionally, the Ukrainian Navy announced that a military facility of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol was struck by a Neptune missile during the same night, reportedly destroying storage areas for weapons and military equipment. Russian authorities have yet to respond to this information.

Since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion, various military and industrial sites within Russia and in occupied territories have been subject to airstrikes. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has consistently confirmed these attacks, stating that Ukrainian defense forces are systematically working to diminish the combat capabilities of Russian occupation forces and to pressure Russia to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine.

Ukrainian military operations have successfully targeted significant Russian military and industrial sites, including the Afipsky oil refinery and drone facilities in Crimea. These strikes aim to weaken Russian military logistics and capabilities amid ongoing conflict.
