Since its launch, Ukraine’s government initiative “Health Screening 40+” has seen over one million individuals apply for financial assistance to undergo medical examinations. This program, which began on January 1, 2026, aims to facilitate early detection of common health issues.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced the milestone via Telegram on June 20, highlighting that participants receive 2,000 hryvnias from the state to cover the costs of screenings at accredited medical facilities.
The program allows individuals to choose from 2,227 service locations across public, municipal, and private healthcare institutions, irrespective of their place of residence or registration. This flexibility is designed to enhance accessibility for all citizens.
“Health Screening 40+” focuses on identifying prevalent diseases, including cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, and mental health assessments. The initiative is part of a broader effort to improve public health outcomes in Ukraine.
Applications for funding can be submitted through the “Diiа” mobile application or at local administrative service centers (CNAPs). Once approved, participants can select a convenient medical facility from the list of program participants and schedule their examinations.
As of May 10, Svyrydenko reported that over 215,000 Ukrainians had already benefited from the program, with total disbursements amounting to 430 million hryvnias.
Ukraine's "Health Screening 40+" program has successfully engaged over one million applicants since its inception, providing essential funding for early medical examinations. The initiative underscores the government's commitment to enhancing public health through accessible screening services.
