Polish authorities have detained three individuals suspected of espionage and intelligence gathering on behalf of Russia. The arrests were confirmed by Tomasz Semoniak, a member of the Council of Ministers and coordinator of special services, via a social media post.
The detained men, aged between 48 and 62, are believed to have been involved in gathering information regarding NATO troop placements in Poland. Additionally, they are accused of producing and disseminating propaganda and disinformation materials.
The District Court in Białystok has ordered the men to be held in custody for three months while the investigation is ongoing.
