Russian Forces Strike Port Infrastructure in Odesa Region

On the night of April 26, Russian military forces targeted port facilities in the Odesa region, resulting in significant damage to storage buildings, technical equipment, tanks, and a civilian vessel registered under the Palauan flag.

Olexiy Kuleba, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, confirmed the attack’s impact on port and logistics infrastructure. He noted that the damage included storage facilities, technical equipment, cargo storage tanks, administrative buildings, and freight transport.

Additionally, a civilian ship flying the Palauan flag, which was in the port for loading, was also damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no injuries among the crew members as a result of the attack.

Emergency services, including firefighting units, are currently on-site to address the aftermath of the attack and assess the extent of the damage, Kuleba added.

Details on the Drone Attack in Odesa on April 25, 2026

In the Odesa region, an air raid alert was issued at 2:10 AM due to the threat of ballistic weapon use, as reported by the Air Forces of Ukraine.

Shortly after, at 2:25 AM, the alert was lifted in all areas of the region except for Odesa itself. The Air Forces provided updates regarding the movement of a group of drones from the Black Sea towards several settlements in Odesa region, including Olexandrivka, Chornomorsk, and Velykodolynske.

At 2:50 AM, the Air Forces confirmed the movement of a new group of drones towards Odesa from the Black Sea. By 3:08 AM, it was reported that a group of strike drones was advancing on Lymanka, Chornomorsk, and Ovidiopol.

The alert was finally lifted at 3:44 AM.

The recent attack on Odesa's port infrastructure by Russian forces has led to extensive damage, although no crew injuries were reported. Emergency services are actively working to mitigate the impact and assess damages.
