Russian military units are reportedly gathering personnel and equipment in Pokrovsk, a city in the Donetsk region, with the presence of the 90th Tank Division confirmed in the area. This buildup suggests preparations for potential offensive actions.
According to the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces, since early May, Ukrainian troops have neutralized or injured 329 Russian soldiers in their operational zone. Additionally, over 40 pieces of various military equipment, including artillery, have been destroyed or damaged.
Ukrainian defense forces have successfully targeted some of the artillery stationed in Pokrovsk. The city is currently being utilized by Russian forces to consolidate their military assets as they plan further advances.
In the nearby town of Myrnohrad, Russian troops are establishing command points, attempting to use it as a staging area for an assault toward Rodynske. Since the beginning of May, the 38th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade has reportedly destroyed 11 pieces of artillery in this direction.
Capturing Hryshyne remains a primary objective for the Russian military. Multiple units from various brigades are engaged in this effort. While enemy infantry has attempted to advance directly within the settlement, others are maneuvering around Hryshyne through open fields, heading north toward Vasylivka.
The situation in Pokrovsk is escalating as Russian forces consolidate troops and equipment, indicating potential offensive operations. Ukrainian defense efforts have led to significant enemy losses, but the capture of key locations remains a focal point for both sides.
