During Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to Kazakhstan, his motorcade included vehicles equipped with advanced military technology, according to reports from the Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT). Among the convoy was a heavily armored vehicle, likely the “Alan,” which features a mount for a machine gun on its roof, although the actual weapon was not present.
In addition to the armored vehicle, CIT representatives noted the presence of another vehicle that appeared to have a structure on its roof, possibly a radio-electronic warfare system. They suggested that this vehicle might also have communication equipment installed.
Reports indicate that Putin’s limousine was accompanied by a substantial security detail, including 14 motorcycles and 20 cars, while an aircraft provided aerial coverage. Footage from Astana revealed military personnel in camouflage stationed along the routes taken by Putin, with some entrances blocked by armored vehicles.
The visit coincided with discussions between Putin and Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, scheduled for May 28, highlighting the significance of the meeting amid regional security concerns.
Vladimir Putin's recent trip to Kazakhstan was marked by a heavily fortified motorcade, including armored vehicles and military personnel. This display of security underscores the strategic importance of the discussions with Kazakhstan's leadership.
