In the early hours of May 14, Russian military forces launched a significant assault on Kyiv, leading to multiple explosions throughout the city.
Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the attacks via social media, stating, “Explosions in the city. The capital is under a massive enemy attack.” Emergency services were dispatched to respond to the incidents.
Reports indicate that debris from drones caused a fire on the roof of a five-story residential building in the Dniprovs’kyi district. Additionally, in the Holosiivskyi district, remnants of the attack fell onto a roadway.
Timur Tkachенко, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, later reported that a vehicle was ablaze in the Solomians’kyi district. Another residential building in the Dniprovs’kyi district sustained damage, while a non-residential structure was affected in the Obolons’kyi district.
As of 3:45 AM, Tkachенко noted that further assessments were underway regarding potential casualties and the overall impact of the attacks.
