Fuel Rationing Introduced in Occupied Crimea Amid Shortages

Starting May 31, residents of occupied Crimea will face new regulations regarding the sale of A-95 gasoline, which will now be distributed via coupons without volume restrictions for public and social transport. This announcement was made by Sergey Aksyonov, the head of the occupying authority in Crimea, through a Telegram post.

Aksyonov specified that the A-95 gasoline will be available at ATAN and TES gas stations only with coupons. In contrast, due to limited supplies of A-92 gasoline, a cap will be enforced on its retail sale, allowing no more than 20 liters per vehicle. Additionally, filling containers with gasoline will be prohibited.

The official indicated that the situation is expected to stabilize within 30 days. He also urged residents to monitor the current locations of gas stations where fuel is available.

This move follows a previous announcement from Aksyonov, made on May 30, which limited the sale of A-95 gasoline to 20 liters per person per day across the region.

New fuel regulations in occupied Crimea will prioritize A-95 gasoline distribution for public transport, while A-92 sales are restricted due to shortages. The situation is anticipated to normalize within a month.
