On Saturday, a shelling incident in Poltava resulted in injuries to four children, as confirmed by local officials.
According to Kateryna Yamshykova, the secretary of the Poltava City Council, all injured children have been hospitalized. The situation surrounding the attack is still being assessed.
Reports indicate that a series of loud explosions were heard in Poltava around 8:10 PM on June 20, with at least three distinct blasts reported. At the time, an air raid alert was in effect in the Poltava region, and the Ukrainian Air Force had issued warnings about fast-moving targets in the area.
Yamshykova later updated the information, stating that the number of injured children had increased to four, as another child was transported to a pediatric hospital by ambulance.
