On the night of June 23, a series of explosions were reported in occupied Crimea, accompanied by multiple fires. The Kerch Bridge was closed to traffic for several hours as a precautionary measure.
According to the monitoring group ‘Crimean Wind,’ satellite imagery indicated new fire outbreaks at the oil terminal in Kerch, which had previously been targeted on June 21 and continues to burn. Fires were also detected at the entrance to Kerch and near the settlement of Baherove, where S-300 and S-400 missile systems are positioned.
Reports from the Telegram channel Supernova+ confirmed the occurrence of explosions in Crimea, with further details emerging about a successful strike on the TES-Terminal, a facility for the transshipment and storage of petroleum products.
As of now, the authorities installed by the occupying forces in Crimea have not issued any statements regarding the fires or the attacks. However, a Telegram channel that tracks traffic conditions on the Kerch Bridge reported at 11:24 PM on June 22 that vehicular movement across the bridge was temporarily halted. Traffic was resumed approximately 5.5 hours later, at 5:10 AM on June 23.
The recent explosions and fires in occupied Crimea highlight the ongoing volatility in the region. With key infrastructure targeted, the situation remains fluid as local authorities have yet to comment on the incidents.
