Drone Strike in Odesa Results in Casualties and Property Damage

A drone attack carried out by Russian forces in Odesa has resulted in injuries and damage to residential buildings. At least three structures, including two two-storey buildings and one three-storey building, were affected during the incident.

According to local officials, two individuals sustained shrapnel wounds: a 72-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man. The woman has been hospitalized for her injuries, as confirmed by Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

The three-storey building sustained significant damage, with apartments on the second and third floors destroyed. Additionally, windows were shattered in several neighboring buildings, and vehicles in the vicinity were also damaged.

Emergency services are currently on-site to address the aftermath of the attack. Efforts are underway to assess the full extent of the damage and to determine if there are any additional casualties.

Air raid alerts were issued in the Odesa region shortly before the attack, with reports of drones approaching from the Black Sea. The first explosions were recorded around 12:17 AM, followed by a series of blasts shortly after 1:43 AM.

Authorities are continuing to gather information regarding the incident and its consequences.
