On the evening of April 26, Russian forces launched drone strikes targeting several communities in the Sumy region of Ukraine, resulting in damage to infrastructure and residential buildings.
Oleg Grygorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported that the Romen community experienced significant damage to transport infrastructure and adjacent structures due to the drone attacks. Residential areas were also affected.
“People timely took shelter. There were no injuries reported. A 55-year-old woman experienced acute stress reaction and received necessary medical assistance,” Grygorov stated.
Additionally, the strikes led to power outages for some residents. Restoration efforts will commence once the security situation allows, according to Grygorov.
In the broader context of the conflict, the Sumy community has recorded damage to both residential sectors and critical infrastructure due to ongoing Russian assaults. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties from the recent attacks.
Earlier on the same day, drone strikes in the Dnipropetrovsk region resulted in injuries to three individuals.
Recent drone attacks in Ukraine's Sumy region have led to infrastructure damage but no reported casualties. The situation highlights ongoing tensions and the impact of military actions on civilian life.
