Drone Attack Reported in Leningrad Region Targeting Oil Refinery

The Russian authorities have reported a drone attack in the Leningrad region, specifically targeting the Kirishi Oil Refinery, known as KINEF. This incident was confirmed by Alexander Drozdenko, the governor of the Leningrad region.

Drozdenko stated that Russian air defense forces intercepted drones over the Kirishi area, resulting in damage within the industrial zone. According to his account, a total of 21 drones were destroyed during the incident.

Local sources, including the Telegram channel Astra, indicated that the drones specifically targeted KINEF, which is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia. The facility is known for producing gasoline, diesel, kerosene, fuel oil, and petrochemical products.
