In April 2026, the average salary in Ukraine was reported at 30,515 hryvnias, reflecting a 0.5% increase from March, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
The highest salaries were recorded in Kyiv, where the average reached 48,003 hryvnias. Following closely was the Kyiv region, with an average salary of 30,584 hryvnias.
In contrast, the lowest salaries were found in Kirovohrad Oblast at 21,199 hryvnias, with slightly higher earnings in Chernivtsi Oblast, where the average was 21,687 hryvnias.
Workers in the information and telecommunications sector earned the most, with an average salary of 77,861 hryvnias. Conversely, those employed in the arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation sectors received the lowest average salary at 19,855 hryvnias.
As of May 1, 2026, the total wage arrears in Ukraine amounted to 3.7 billion hryvnias.
Earlier, on April 29, the State Statistics Service reported that the average salary for March 2026 had increased by 7.2% compared to the previous month, reaching 30,356 hryvnias.
The latest figures from Ukraine's State Statistics Service indicate a modest increase in average salaries, with significant disparities across regions and sectors. While Kyiv leads in earnings, certain areas and industries continue to experience notably lower wages.
