Attack in Odesa Region Leaves 11 Injured, Including Children

A recent attack in the Odesa region has resulted in 11 individuals being injured, with eight of them requiring hospitalization. The information was confirmed by Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, and the State Emergency Service via social media.

As of 4:30 PM local time, the injured include six men, three women, and two children aged 11 and 12. Medical personnel reported that the victims sustained various injuries, including shrapnel wounds, burns, and traumatic brain injuries. Three of the injured are in critical condition and are receiving urgent medical care.

The attack caused significant damage to local infrastructure, including a pet store, a post office, a liquor store, and several vehicles. A large fire broke out at the site, covering an area of approximately 1,700 square meters. Tragically, a dog was reported to have died in the pet store as a result of the attack, according to rescue workers.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, and psychological support services were also deployed to assist those affected by the incident.

This incident follows a targeted strike by Russia on May 27, which aimed at civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region, highlighting ongoing tensions and violence in the area.
