A violent incident occurred in Kharkiv on June 20, resulting in injuries to three individuals. A 22-year-old man allegedly attacked people at a market kiosk in the city’s Kholodnohirs’kyi district.
According to local police, the attack took place around 5:30 PM. The suspect, a resident of Cherkasy, reportedly entered the kiosk and used a shard of a broken bottle to inflict cuts on a male victim. He then struck a female vendor in the head before fleeing the scene.
As he escaped, the assailant also kicked an elderly woman in the face. Emergency services provided medical assistance to the injured parties.
Authorities quickly located the suspect, and discussions are ongoing regarding his formal arrest under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The police are considering classifying the event as a serious act of hooliganism under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, which carries a potential penalty of up to seven years in prison.
