Andriy Yarmolenko Reaches Milestone of 121 Goals in Ukrainian Premier League

Andriy Yarmolenko, a winger for Kyiv’s Dynamo, has surpassed the 120-goal mark in the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). His achievement comes following a standout performance in the 25th round match against Kryvbas, where he scored twice, narrowing the gap to the all-time leading scorer, Maksym Shatskyi, to just three goals.

The encounter between Kryvbas and Dynamo has been recorded as the highest-scoring match in UPL history, with a total of 11 goals scored by both teams.

Yarmolenko’s first goal came in the 76th minute, leveling the score at 5-5 after receiving a pass from Vitaliy Buyalskyi. This goal marked his 120th in Ukrainian championships. The decisive moment occurred in the 87th minute when he scored his 121st goal, a backheel finish assisted by Mykola Shaparenko, securing the victory for Dynamo.

With this performance, Yarmolenko became the third player in UPL history to surpass 120 goals.

Top Five Scorers in Ukrainian Championship History:

  • Maksym Shatskyi — 124 goals
  • Serhiy Rebrov — 123 goals
  • Andriy Yarmolenko — 121 goals
  • Yevhen Seleznov — 117 goals
  • Andriy Vorobey — 105 goals

Yarmolenko now requires three more goals to equal Shatskyi’s record and four to take the lead in the all-time scoring list. There are five matches remaining in the UPL season.

Notably, these goals were Yarmolenko’s ninth and tenth against Kryvbas in UPL history, making them the second club he has scored the most goals against, following Odesa’s Chornomorets, where he has netted 15 times.

Dynamo’s next match will be against league leaders Shakhtar Donetsk, with the Ukrainian derby scheduled for Sunday, May 3, at 18:00 Kyiv time.

Andriy Yarmolenko has now scored 121 goals in the Ukrainian Premier League, placing him third on the all-time scoring list. His recent performance against Kryvbas not only set a record for the highest-scoring match in UPL history but also brought him closer to the leading scorer, Maksym Shatskyi.
