The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, provided insights into recent developments on the frontline and the country’s ongoing efforts to join the European Union.
Among the topics addressed during the meeting were the establishment of negotiation clusters and the acceleration of Ukraine’s accession process to the EU. According to the minister, there is a noticeable shift in dynamics regarding these efforts.
“I arrived here with a new sense of momentum. I will participate in significant meetings at the level of foreign ministers, the Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as in a session of our international coalition focused on the return of Ukrainian children,” Sybiha stated.
Additionally, Sybiha touched upon the theme of peace and the potential new role of Europe in these discussions. He emphasized the importance of ongoing peace negotiations led by the United States, stating, “We have primary peace talks under U.S. leadership, and we need this track, along with U.S. leadership. However, Europe can also play its part, a new role.”
