Senator Marco Rubio characterized the upcoming meeting as one of the most significant in NATO’s history, emphasizing the need for leaders to confront Trump’s concerns. He stated, “This issue needs to be resolved; it will not be settled or addressed today. Leaders must discuss it.”
Additionally, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighted Trump’s announcement of deploying 5,000 troops to Poland. He noted, “The United States continues to have global commitments that require us to reassess where we station our forces. This is not a punishment; it is an ongoing necessity that has been in place for some time.”
