NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has confirmed that he has invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to participate in the upcoming NATO leaders’ summit in Ankara.
Rutte stated that an official invitation has already been sent to the Ukrainian president. He noted, “I have already invited him. He will be there, just as he was in The Hague.” However, he did not provide further details regarding the participation of the Ukrainian delegation at the event.
During his address, Rutte also discussed the current situation on the front lines and the actions of Ukrainian forces in the ongoing conflict with Russia. According to him, recent reports indicate positive developments for Ukraine.
He remarked that Ukrainian forces are gradually reclaiming territories and stabilizing the situation on the battlefield. While he emphasized that these changes are not occurring on a large scale, he asserted that the developments are unfavorable for the Kremlin.
