Crypto.com Chief Marketing Officer Steven Kalifowitz to Transition Role

Steven Kalifowitz, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Crypto.com, will step down from his position on June 30, 2026, but will remain with the company as an advisor to the CEO.

Kalifowitz has played a crucial role in elevating the Crypto.com brand over nearly six years, overseeing more than $1 billion in marketing partnerships and campaigns. A spokesperson for the company highlighted his contributions, noting his efforts in promoting the brand globally, including the launch of their first brand film in 2021 and securing significant sponsorships that have broadened the company’s reach.

Under Kalifowitz’s leadership, Crypto.com has transformed from a simple app into a recognized global brand. Major investments during his tenure include a landmark $700 million, 20-year naming rights agreement for the Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as the Staples Center, and a $100 million promotional campaign featuring actor Matt Damon.

The company has also established high-profile partnerships with organizations such as Formula 1 and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), further solidifying its presence in the sports and entertainment sectors.

Before joining Crypto.com, Kalifowitz served as a brand manager at Twitter for four years and was the president of the real estate platform Localize.city.

Crypto.com, founded in 2016 and based in Singapore, enables users to buy and sell over 200 cryptocurrencies and offers rewards for crypto deposits and Visa card usage.

Steven Kalifowitz will leave his role as CMO of Crypto.com on June 30, 2026, transitioning to an advisory position. His tenure saw the company invest over $1 billion in marketing, significantly raising its global profile.
