Ukrainian Currency Market Sees Decline in Dollar and Euro Values

The Ukrainian currency market experienced a notable shift on Wednesday, April 22, as both the dollar and euro began to lose value after several days of increases.

Key Changes:

  • Trend Reversal: The dollar and euro both saw a decrease, with the average selling price of the dollar falling to 43.90 UAH and the euro to 51.85 UAH in exchange offices.
  • PrivatBank: This major bank significantly lowered its rates, with the dollar now priced at 44.20 UAH and the euro at 52.10 UAH.
  • Monobank: Known for its competitive rates, Monobank set the dollar at 44.23 UAH and the euro at 52.07 UAH, marking a decrease of 28 kopecks.
  • Oschadbank: This bank also adjusted its rates, offering the dollar at 44.25 UAH and the euro at 52.20 UAH through its mobile app.
  • PUMB Stability: PUMB maintained its rates, with the dollar selling at 44.40 UAH.

According to Minfin, the average buying rate for the dollar in exchange offices this morning was 43.90 UAH (down 15 kopecks), while the selling rate was 43.75 UAH (also down 15 kopecks).

The euro could be purchased for 51.85 UAH (down 15 kopecks) and sold for 51.60 UAH (down 20 kopecks).

Bank Rates:

Today, banks are selling dollars at an average rate of 44.35 UAH (up 5 kopecks) and buying at 43.85 UAH (up 5 kopecks).

The euro remains at 52.25 UAH (down 4 kopecks) for buying and 51.58 UAH (up 8 kopecks) for selling.

PrivatBank is selling dollars at 44.20 UAH (down 25 kopecks) in branches, while the card rate is 44.24 UAH (down 20 kopecks). The euro can be bought for 52.10 UAH (down 25 kopecks) in branches and 52.08 UAH (down 27 kopecks) with a card.

Oschadbank offers dollars through its mobile app at 44.25 UAH (down 10 kopecks) and 44.40 UAH (down 5 kopecks) for card transactions. The euro costs 52.20 UAH (down 15 kopecks) in the app and 52.40 UAH (down 5 kopecks) for non-cash transactions.

At PUMB, the dollar is available for 44.40 UAH (unchanged) in branches and 44.20 UAH (unchanged) for non-cash transactions. The euro is sold for 52.30 UAH (unchanged).

Monobank is selling dollars for 44.23 UAH (down 20 kopecks) and euros for 52.07 UAH (down 28 kopecks).

These rates are compared to those from the morning of Tuesday, April 21.
