Starting today, Ukrainian citizens are eligible to receive cashback on fuel purchases, a program that was initiated on March 20. This initiative primarily targets vehicle owners, with a significant number of participants driving cars that are over ten years old.
More than 2 million Ukrainians are expected to benefit from this cashback program. Notably, 91% of participants own budget vehicles, specifically those aged between 10 to 20 years and equipped with engines up to 2.5 liters.
The maximum cashback amount is set at 500 UAH per month, while the total limit under the “National Cashback” program is capped at 3000 UAH monthly.
Cashback is calculated based on the type of fuel purchased:
- 15% for diesel
- 10% for gasoline
- 5% for autogas
According to the Ministry of Economy, fuel purchases eligible for cashback can be made at any location across the country, with over 220 gas station networks participating, ranging from large national chains to local providers.
As of today, payments for March under the “National Cashback” program have begun, with nearly 4.8 million participants set to receive funds this month.
It is important to note that the “National Cashback” program will operate under an updated payment mechanism. Following these changes, the amount of cashback will vary based on the category of goods and products purchased.
In particular, consumers may receive increased cashback for certain purchases, while other categories will offer lower refund amounts.
The newly launched cashback program in Ukraine aims to support vehicle owners by providing financial incentives for fuel purchases. With millions of participants, the initiative is designed to adapt payment amounts based on product categories.
