Samsung has successfully completed a significant phase in the preparation for its next flagship gadget lineup, with a large batch of new devices officially certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States.
The appearance of documentation in the FCC database confirms that the release schedule for these products remains on track. Experts have identified several key code names in the official FCC reports that correspond to the brand’s most anticipated new releases:
- SM-F776U – the next-generation foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Flip 8;
- SM-F976U – the premium foldable flagship Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which will succeed the previous model;
- SM-L340 and SM-L345 – the standard 40 mm Galaxy Watch 9 smartwatch (Wi-Fi and cellular variants);
- SM-L350 and SM-L355 – the larger 44 mm Galaxy Watch 9 smartwatch (Wi-Fi and LTE options);
- SM-L715 – the new rugged and more powerful Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 with cellular support.
Typically, registration cards from the regulator contain only technical data about wireless modules and frequencies, without revealing marketing names or detailed specifications. However, the publication of these documents just weeks ahead of rumors about the July Galaxy Unpacked event in London indicates a swift announcement is forthcoming.
Despite the extensive documentation launch, analysts noted the absence of certain expected devices. Currently, the FCC records do not include the model number SM-F971U, which is anticipated to be the standard version of the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
This absence does not imply a complete cancellation of the standard model’s release, as documents may appear later. However, this delay raises some doubts among analysts regarding whether the standard version will be available in stores simultaneously with the Ultra and the new Flip 8.
Additionally, codes SM-L510 and SM-L515, associated with the classic Galaxy Watch 9 Classic, are also currently missing from the listings.
Samsung has received FCC certification for several upcoming devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. However, the absence of some expected models raises questions about their release timing.
