Maxim Timchenko, the CEO of DTEK, has been included in the “UP 100. Business” ranking, which highlights entrepreneurs contributing to the development of the Ukrainian economy and reshaping business practices.
This recognition, reported by RBC-Ukraine, comes from the publication “Ukrainian Truth” as part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations. The ranking honors 100 representatives from the private sector who are instrumental in fostering market relationships based on integrity, free competition, and open access.
Timchenko’s inclusion is particularly notable given the challenging circumstances under which he leads DTEK. The company has faced ongoing attacks, yet Timchenko has made significant contributions to the restoration of Ukraine’s energy system.
The ranking authors remarked, “The leader of the country’s largest energy group literally lives the problems and achievements of the sector and is unwilling to compromise in this pursuit. It is only with such cold calculation that one can build what Timchenko has built.” This acknowledgment underscores Timchenko’s pivotal role in navigating the complexities of the energy sector during a tumultuous period for Ukraine.
