Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Building Damaged in Russian Attack on Kyiv

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry building sustained minor damage during a large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv today. This incident marks the first time the structure, designed by architect Yosyp Langbard in 1939, has been affected by military actions since World War II.

In a statement, the minister emphasized that the attack would not deter the diplomatic team from fulfilling its responsibilities. “Looking at the broken windows this morning, I can confidently say on behalf of our entire diplomatic team: Russian terrorists will not make us stop,” he asserted.

The minister reiterated that Ukrainian diplomacy would persist in its efforts to counter Russian aggression and work towards peace. He also noted that the Russian strikes targeted a historic area, the very heart of ancient Rus, further characterizing the aggressors as barbarians rather than heirs of civilization.
