Ukrainian Forces Target Russian Defense Manufacturer in Recent Strikes

The Ukrainian military has confirmed a strike on the Russian defense enterprise, Atlant Aero, located in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast. This attack resulted in a fire at the facility, which specializes in the design and production of combat and reconnaissance drones.

According to reports from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the damage to Atlant Aero is expected to hinder the production capabilities of Russian drones, thereby reducing the aggressor’s ability to conduct strikes against civilian targets in Ukraine.

In addition to the strike on Atlant Aero, Ukrainian forces reported targeting an ammunition depot in the vicinity of the temporarily occupied settlement of Trudove in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Other strikes were directed at logistical supply depots in Mangush, Topoline, and Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast, as well as at Smila in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. A fuel tank near Novopolivka was also hit.

The extent of enemy losses and the overall impact of these strikes are still being assessed. The Ukrainian Navy indicated that the attack on Atlant Aero was carried out using Neptune missiles.

On the night of April 19, the governor of Rostov Oblast, Yuri Slyusar, reported that the Ukrainian army had launched missile and drone strikes in the region. He noted that three individuals sustained injuries, and commercial infrastructure was damaged, leading to a fire at warehouse premises.

Reports from the Telegram channel ASTRA confirmed that Atlant Aero is involved in the production and development of drones. This facility has previously been targeted in attacks in January and March of 2026.

Additionally, the town of Yeysk in Krasnodar Krai also experienced drone-related incidents, with debris falling in the vicinity of the seaport. Local authorities reported no casualties or significant damage, although windows in three private homes were shattered, and images indicated a fire.

The Yeysk seaport handles between 3 to 4.5 million tons of cargo annually, primarily consisting of grain, coal, petroleum products, and metals. Due to the shallow depth of the Sea of Azov, the port accommodates vessels of limited tonnage.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported intercepting and destroying 13 Ukrainian drones on the night of April 19. These interceptions occurred over Belgorod, Kursk, Rostov, Krasnodar Krai, annexed Crimea, and the waters of the Sea of Azov.

Since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion, various sites within Russia have been subjected to airstrikes, with oil refineries frequently targeted in 2024 and 2025. Strikes have also impacted Russian facilities located in occupied territories of Ukraine.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has consistently confirmed these attacks, stating that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are systematically implementing measures aimed at diminishing the combat potential of Russian occupation forces and pressuring Russia to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine.

Recent strikes by the Ukrainian military targeted the Atlant Aero defense facility in Russia, impacting its drone production capabilities. Additional attacks were reported on enemy ammunition and logistical depots, as Ukraine continues to target Russian military infrastructure.
