Ukrainian Forces Rely on Fire Point Systems Amid Criticism

The Ukrainian military is increasingly dependent on Fire Point systems for effective strikes against Russian targets, despite facing criticism over their use. A commander from the Asgard drone battalion, known by the call sign “Dzhakonda,” emphasized the importance of these long-range systems in a recent interview.

Operating primarily in the Zaporizhzhia region, the Fire Point technology has become essential for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), enabling them to strike enemy positions from distances of 120 to 150 kilometers and beyond. This capability allows Ukrainian forces to extend their operations deep into Russian territory, targeting critical infrastructure such as oil refineries and ammunition depots.

According to Dzhakonda, the Fire Point systems have transformed the battlefield by facilitating consistent attacks on the enemy. He stated, “Currently, we have a tool that everyone is excited about, because Fire Point is a system that has led to regular hits on the battlefield, not just in one area, but from zero to deep behind enemy lines.”

He criticized the effectiveness of using American or Russian alternatives for frontline operations, citing their high costs. In contrast, Fire Point drones can carry payloads of up to 100 kilograms, allowing for precise strikes on enemy bunkers, effectively compensating for the shortage of heavy munitions.

Dzhakonda expressed concern that the ongoing criticism of Fire Point is being fueled by individuals who lack firsthand experience on the front lines and are disconnected from the realities of combat operations. He urged military practitioners who utilize these systems daily to speak out about their significance.

He warned that silence from those engaged in actual combat could result in the loss of a vital tool for modern warfare due to misguided information campaigns.

In related news, recent reports indicated a significant attack on military and industrial targets deep within Russia, including strikes in the Samara region and Chuvashia. A military factory specializing in components for Russian missiles and drones in Cheboksary was reportedly hit, along with an oil refinery in Novokuybyshevsk.

Speculation is rife that Ukrainian “Flamingo” missiles may have been used in these operations. This theory gained traction following a social media post by Fire Point founder Denys Shtilierman, who shared an image of a missile launch without further context.

The Ukrainian military is increasingly reliant on Fire Point systems for long-range strikes against Russian targets, despite facing criticism. A commander has urged practitioners to advocate for the importance of these systems amid concerns that misinformation could undermine their effectiveness.
