Ukrainian Drones Target Key Fuel Infrastructure in Crimea

Ukrainian forces have conducted drone strikes on two significant fuel infrastructure sites in Crimea, targeting a fuel depot near Lenino and a maritime oil terminal in Feodosia. These locations play a crucial role in the logistics of Russian military operations.

In the early hours of June 7, units from the Middle-strike Special Operations Forces executed attacks on the Semikolodezian fuel depot and the maritime oil terminal. The Semikolodezian depot is situated in the village of Yedi-Kuyu, referred to as Lenino by Russian authorities, and is approximately 200 kilometers from the active combat front.

This depot serves as a pivotal storage and transit point for various petroleum products, including heavy fuel oil, diesel, and bitumen, which are utilized by Russian military forces. The facility contains nine storage tanks with capacities ranging from 700 to 3,000 cubic meters, facilitating the distribution of fuel throughout Crimea and other temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine.

Additionally, the drone strikes targeted the maritime oil terminal in Feodosia, located about 250 kilometers from the front lines. This terminal includes seven tanks with capacities of 10,000 and 20,000 cubic meters.

The terminal functions as a multi-purpose complex for transferring oil and petroleum products from rail tankers to maritime vessels. Russian occupying forces rely on this facility to stockpile fuel and ensure supplies to occupied Crimea in the event of emergencies.

According to the Special Operations Forces, damaging the enemy’s oil refining infrastructure diminishes its economic and logistical capabilities. They emphasized that these asymmetric operations are part of a broader strategy to weaken the enemy’s capacity in the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.

Ukrainian drone strikes have targeted vital fuel infrastructure in Crimea, impacting Russian military logistics. The attacks on the Semikolodezian depot and Feodosia terminal highlight ongoing efforts to disrupt enemy supply lines.
