Ukrainian Drone Units Target Russian Military Installations

Ukrainian drone units have successfully struck 16 military targets belonging to Russian forces, including facilities related to the Iskander missile system, air defense systems, and an oil refinery in Tuapse, Russia.

According to a statement from a military commander, the drone strikes targeted two operational bases for the Iskander tactical missile system located in the settlements of Mizhhirya and Kurortne in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The strikes were carried out by pilots from the 9th Battalion “Kairros” of the 414th Separate Brigade of Drone Systems, known as “Ptykhy Madyara.”

Additional targets affected by the drone strikes included:

  • The Osa-AK air defense system in Vodiane, Donetsk region;
  • The Pantsir-S1 air defense and artillery system in Crimea;
  • Oil storage facilities in Oktyabrskoye and Hlyboke Yaru in Crimea;
  • The Buk-M1 air defense system in Batahivka, Zaporizhzhia region;
  • A munitions depot of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Mizhhirya, Crimea;
  • A workshop and drone storage facility named “Rubikon” in Hirske, Donetsk region.

In a separate operation, drone units also contributed to the attack on the oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. The details of this operation are expected to be disclosed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukrainian drone units have targeted multiple military installations in Crimea and Russia, successfully hitting key facilities including missile systems and an oil refinery. The operations reflect a strategic focus on disrupting Russian military capabilities in occupied territories.
