Ukraine’s Defense Forces Revamp Training to Enhance Technological Skills

The Ukrainian Defense Forces are set to overhaul their training programs, placing a stronger emphasis on technological skills and counter-drone tactics. This shift comes as the military faces a significant numerical and technological advantage from opposing forces.

According to military officials, the quality of training has become paramount for the Defense Forces, particularly in ensuring the safety of personnel and the effective use of available weaponry. “The nature of warfare is evolving daily. Therefore, we continuously focus on basic military training. During a recent working meeting, we decided to adjust our training content to better address counter-drone operations and enhance our technological capabilities, particularly in operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs),” stated General Syrsky.

The command is also taking into account feedback from trainees, with a particular focus on individual preparation for service members. This approach aims to tailor training to the specific needs of soldiers, improving their readiness for current combat scenarios.

Additionally, the military is relocating training grounds and centers to safer areas, ensuring that proper shelters are established. As of now, 68 military units are conducting basic military training at their home bases, reflecting a strategic effort to adapt to the changing dynamics of warfare.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces are implementing significant changes to their training programs, focusing on technology and counter-drone strategies. This initiative aims to enhance the effectiveness and safety of military personnel in response to evolving combat challenges.
