Russian Strikes Hit Kharkiv, Causing Fire at Civilian Facility

On Sunday evening, Russian forces launched an attack on the Kholodnohirskiy district of Kharkiv, targeting a civilian enterprise that subsequently caught fire. This information was confirmed by Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, via a Telegram post.

Prior to the strike, air defense systems reported not only drone launches but also the use of guided aerial bombs. Footage released by the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration showed significant flames engulfing the third floor of the affected building.

As of now, the specific enterprise that was hit has not been identified, as there are multiple facilities in the Kholodnohirskiy area.

Synegubov also reported that efforts to extinguish the fire at the facility are ongoing.

Earlier on the same day, June 14, Russian drones attacked the Kharkiv Art Museum, a site of local architectural significance. Reports indicated several injuries, including a one-month-old infant who was hospitalized. Among the other victims were women, one of whom sustained injuries, while another experienced a stress-related reaction. Medical personnel provided necessary assistance to all affected individuals.

On June 10, a large-scale attack on Kharkiv was reported, during which a drone struck a residential building, resulting in injuries. In total, 26 drone strikes were recorded in Kharkiv during the night and early morning of June 10.

A previous serious bombardment occurred on May 17, when Russian forces damaged vehicles, residential buildings, and street lighting. One drone hit in the Saltivskyi district near high-rise apartments, while debris from another fell in the Kyivskyi district, and a third struck the Kholodnohirskiy area.

Kharkiv has been a frequent target of Russian attacks using various types of weaponry, as it remains one of the Kremlin’s primary objectives. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to protect the regional center from occupation and bombardment by all available means.

Recent Russian strikes on Kharkiv have resulted in significant damage to civilian infrastructure, including a fire at a local enterprise. The ongoing attacks highlight the city's strategic importance and the continued efforts of Ukrainian forces to defend against such assaults.
