Poltava Community Struck by Russian Attack, Casualties Reported

The Poltava region has seen an increase in casualties following a recent Russian missile strike, according to regional military administration head Vitaliy Dyakivnych.

On June 20, the attack targeted the Poltava community, resulting in injuries to nine individuals, including five children. Dyakivnych confirmed that all necessary medical assistance is being provided to the victims.

Russian forces have been consistently targeting Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure using various weapons, including drones and missiles. These attacks have raised serious concerns among Ukrainian authorities and international organizations, who classify them as war crimes.

Officials emphasize that the deliberate targeting of critical infrastructure—such as healthcare facilities, energy sources, and water supply systems—aims to deprive civilians of essential services, which some argue constitutes genocidal actions.

In response, the Russian government has denied allegations that its military intentionally strikes civilian areas, asserting that it does not target non-combatants or essential civilian facilities.

The recent missile attack in Poltava has resulted in multiple injuries, including children, as Russian forces continue to target Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. Authorities classify these actions as war crimes, while Russia denies any intent to harm civilians.
