Recent updates from the Ukrainian General Staff indicate that Ukrainian defense forces have engaged in 54 combat encounters with Russian military units since the start of the day. The report highlights significant military activity across various fronts, with particular emphasis on the North-Slobozhansky and South-Slobozhansky directions.
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk areas, two combat engagements occurred, alongside 44 shelling incidents targeting both civilian settlements and military positions. Notably, one of these attacks involved the use of a multiple launch rocket system.
Further south, in the vicinity of Vovchansk, Russian forces launched two assaults against Ukrainian positions. The General Staff reported that in the Liman direction, four Russian offensives were recorded towards the settlements of Stavyky and Lyman, with two of these engagements still ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, two attacks were noted against Ukrainian defense positions near Yampil. Similarly, in the Kramatorsk area, Russian forces executed two assaults targeting positions near the settlement of Nykyforivka.
Meanwhile, in the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers attempted to displace Ukrainian forces 13 times from their established positions in several localities, including Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, and Udačne, as well as in the areas of Shevchenko, Bilytske, and Novopavlivka. Two of these confrontations are still in progress.
In the Huliaipilske direction, Ukrainian defense forces repelled nine attacks aimed at localities such as Sviatopetrivka, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, and near Varvarivka, Pryliuky, and Tsvitkove. One battle in this area continues. Additionally, Russian forces conducted airstrikes in the regions of Vozdvizhivka, Nizhanka, Zirnytsia, Verkhnya Tersa, Charivne, and Liubytske.
On April 15, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the Russian military has intensified its offensive actions with the change in weather, conducting operations along nearly the entire 1,200-kilometer frontline. The most active areas in March, according to his report, included Oleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Lyman.
