Since June 2026, Russian forces have intensified their assaults on the vital roadway linking Kharkiv and Sumy, raising concerns for drivers in the region.
This information was shared by Serhiy “Flesh” Beskrestnov, an advisor to Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, in a recent Telegram post.
“Unfortunately, the significance of attacks on logistics is recognized not only by us. Since the beginning of the month, the enemy has started targeting transport connections between Kharkiv and Sumy,” Beskrestnov stated.
He specified that the assaults are concentrated around the Bohodukhiv area, which is situated just 20 kilometers from the border.
Beskrestnov concluded with a note of caution for drivers, suggesting that while calls for vigilance may seem futile, it is crucial to consider appropriate actions in response to the situation.
