In the early hours of June 9, the Kharkiv region of Ukraine experienced a significant drone attack, leading to tragic consequences in the city of Chuhuiv and surrounding areas.
Chuhuiv: Rising Casualties
The assault targeted Chuhuiv, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and injuries to at least three others. A 34-year-old man was also reported to have suffered an acute stress reaction. Emergency services are actively responding to the situation, where multiple fires have erupted.

According to local authorities, including Mayor Halyna Minaieva, the casualty count in Chuhuiv has increased following the missile strikes. Approximately eight apartment buildings and over ten private homes have sustained damage.
Kharkiv: Fires Erupt in Two Districts
Strikes were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Holodnohirskiy districts of Kharkiv. The aftermath of these attacks includes:
- At least 10 vehicles set ablaze;
- The roof of a municipal enterprise on fire;
- Approximately ten people injured.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a drone struck the roof of a five-story building, causing windows to shatter in a nearby structure. Emergency services and medical response teams are currently on-site to manage the situation.
Authorities continue to monitor the airspace for additional hostile drones. Residents have been advised to remain in safe locations until the threat has passed.
