In the early hours of Monday, drone strikes targeted the Kyiv region, resulting in damage to two private homes in the Brovary district and leaving one person injured.
Local authorities reported that the attacks were aimed at civilian areas, impacting the daily lives of residents. “The enemy continues to target Kyiv region with drones, focusing on peaceful citizens and our homes,” stated Oleksandr Kalashnikov, head of the regional military administration.
A man born in 1974 was hospitalized following the incident, and officials confirmed that he is receiving all necessary medical care.
The Kyiv region has frequently faced attacks, particularly in areas adjacent to the capital. Brovary district has been one of the most affected, experiencing numerous strikes in recent months. Last month, similar attacks resulted in the destruction of private residences, vehicles, and business facilities.
Earlier, the city of Slavutych lost power due to enemy shelling, highlighting the ongoing threat to infrastructure in the region.
In recent weeks, Kyiv itself has also been under siege. On April 16, the city experienced a significant missile attack that caused extensive fires in several districts, resulting in casualties, including children. The Podil district was particularly hard hit, with substantial damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and postal services.
During that attack, officials confirmed multiple fatalities and over 60 injuries, underscoring the severe impact of these assaults on civilian life.
Recent drone strikes in the Kyiv region have resulted in injuries and property damage, reflecting the ongoing threat to civilian areas. The Brovary district continues to be a focal point for such attacks, exacerbating the challenges faced by local residents amidst the conflict.
