Late on the evening of April 19, Russian forces launched a drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv, resulting in damage to several buildings and infrastructure.
According to local officials, an explosion was reported at 11:05 PM amid warnings of potential drone strikes. Following the incident, representatives from the city administration and emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
By 12:10 AM, regional governor Vitaliy Kim provided details regarding the extent of the damage caused by the attack. “Mykolaiv. As a result of the Shahed attack, there is damage to a residential high-rise, several private homes, vehicles, power lines, and tram tracks,” he stated.
Both Kim and Mykolaiv’s mayor, Oleksandr Senkevych, confirmed that there were no reported injuries from the attack.
A drone attack on Mykolaiv resulted in damage to residential and infrastructure but, fortunately, no injuries were reported. Local officials are assessing the impact of the strike.
