Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech has introduced a new drone detection device named ‘Chuyka 4.0’, featuring an upgraded module capable of scanning a broader frequency range.
The device operates not only on traditional frequencies of 1.2 GHz, 3.3 GHz, and 5.8 GHz but can also detect hostile drones within the higher range of 6100-8600 MHz.
‘Chuyka 4.0’ boasts a redesigned casing, an additional battery, and a fourth antenna. This new generation of detectors can scan the entire frequency spectrum in just 4 to 8 seconds, with operational times of up to 6 hours using the extra battery and 2 hours without it.
The device streams video from intercepted drone signals to a color display. ‘Chuyka 4.0’ has successfully completed combat testing, and its price is set at 39,900 hryvnias.
In a related development, Ukraine has also created a unique rocket called DART, which is launched from stratospheric balloons. This missile is notable for its resilience against enemy electronic warfare systems.
The rocket is elevated to high altitudes ranging from 12 to 18 kilometers, with special servos ensuring precise activation and maintaining a stable flight trajectory. The system is designed to function reliably under various drop conditions.
BlueBird Tech's 'Chuyka 4.0' introduces significant advancements in drone detection technology, expanding its operational capabilities. Additionally, the development of the DART rocket showcases Ukraine's innovative military solutions against electronic warfare.
