On June 23, around 11:00 AM, Kryvyi Rih experienced a series of explosions attributed to a ballistic missile attack. Local defense council head Oleksandr Vilkul confirmed the incident, which resulted in fatalities and injuries.
According to Oleksandr Hanzha, the head of the regional military administration, significant damage occurred to industrial infrastructure in the area. As of 12:20 PM, the number of injured individuals had risen to 19, with Vilkul reporting that two men, aged 30 and 39, are in serious condition, while a 62-year-old woman is in critical condition.
The attack also caused destruction to an unused building, an excavator, and a vehicle. Emergency responders worked to extinguish a fire that erupted as a result of the missile strike.
By 12:03 PM, Vilkul announced that the death toll had increased to three, with over ten additional injuries reported. Many of the injured have been hospitalized in serious condition. The attack specifically targeted a civilian infrastructure site.
