Ukrainian Commander Discusses Strategy for Crimea Amid Ongoing Conflict

Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ drone units, has shared insights on the situation in Crimea, which remains under Russian occupation.

He emphasized that Moscow will continue to cling to Crimea as a significant trophy of the war, regardless of the circumstances. Brovdi described the region as a pillar of Russian ideology, laden with various strategic advantages.

However, he pointed out that using Crimea as a launchpad for attacks on Ukraine has become a military absurdity. Brovdi outlined a strategy involving comprehensive resource and logistical depletion, alongside significant disruptions to tourism and energy supply in the region.

According to Brovdi, Ukrainian forces are already active in the occupied territories, leading to the closure of key bridges and roads in Crimea. He warned residents to stay away from military sites and potential hazards, as the situation remains precarious.

“The psychological impact of Crimea on Moscow is profound,” he stated, suggesting that the region could serve as a critical point for a significant shift in the conflict. He urged caution, reminding that all dictatorships eventually collapse unexpectedly.

Ukrainian commander Robert Brovdi has outlined a strategic approach to Crimea, emphasizing its significance to Russia and the ongoing military absurdities. He warns of the psychological impact the region holds for Moscow and advises caution for residents amid heightened tensions.
