On the night of May 17, Kharkiv experienced another drone attack, resulting in damage to vehicles, residential buildings, and street lighting.
According to local reports, the assault involved at least two drones, with one striking the Saltivskyi district near high-rise apartments. Debris from a second drone fell in the Kyivskyi district, while a third drone hit the Holodnohirskiy area.
The mayor of Kharkiv provided initial details about the incident in the Saltivskyi district, stating, “As a result of the enemy’s Shahed drone strike, seven vehicles caught fire, and approximately ten others were damaged. The shockwave from the explosion shattered windows in nearby residential buildings. Additionally, the street lighting electrical network sustained damage,” he reported at 2:03 AM.
Later updates indicated that the enemy also targeted the Holodnohirskiy district, where a fire erupted following the drone strike.

The mayor further noted that the attack extended to the Osnovyansky district. In the Holodnohirskiy area, windows in a high-rise building were broken due to falling debris.
