On Monday morning, reports emerged of four fatalities resulting from a significant military assault on Kyiv. The information was confirmed by Timur Tkachенко, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, and Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
Tkachенко stated, “Unfortunately, there is information about two individuals who lost their lives due to enemy shelling.” Initial reports indicated that 23 people had sustained injuries, including a pregnant woman and a child.
As the situation developed, the toll rose to four confirmed deaths in Kyiv. Tkachенко provided an update, noting that as of 5:40 AM, 23 individuals had been injured, among them a child.
Klitschko highlighted that the extensive attack resulted in damage and fires across nearly all districts of the city. Emergency services are currently responding to approximately 50 locations affected by the assault.
The attack occurred during the night of June 15, when explosions were reported throughout the capital. Fires broke out in several areas, including residential buildings and the historic Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Additionally, over 140 residents experienced power outages.
